It's only the first but this lengthy one has already earned it spot the Quote of the Month! Written as a comment on an article asking why so many "Latinx" TV series get cancelled, this imagined dialogue was one of the responses:
White people: Bro! Did you know that you don't really have a gender neutral/all inclusive word for Latinos or Latinas?
Latinos: uhhh... yeah. Well we don't really have a need for...
White People: WE GOT IT! How about we just start calling all of you Latinx instead!? That way we won't offend any of you!
Latinos:.... let's get this straight. You just invented a word outta thin air, so that you could fix our language? Yeah... that's pretty insulti...
White People: NO NEED TO THANK US!!! We love coming up with solutions to problems that never existed!!!
