Sometimes you run into people who are threatened by your work and will poo-poo anything you do.c nadeauhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09681882980938164084noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7013819628818560333.post-4024501538249930042009-03-16T15:45:00.000-07:002009-03-16T15:45:00.000-07:00I think I would find it hard to judge my own writi...I think I would find it hard to judge my own writing as crap, but obviously every writer produces stuff of the brown, smelly variety. I think the best jusge of what you write would be from close friends whose opinions you trust - becaus ethey play fair and aren't afraid to tell you when your story stinks.

Even then, the crappy stories can be a tool in the learning to write writer's experience.Timhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12498898076985012831noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7013819628818560333.post-34648501114865848202009-03-16T15:30:00.000-07:002009-03-16T15:30:00.000-07:00I'm going to weigh in on the side of length of tim...I'm going to weigh in on the side of length of time a person has been writing. Also writers groups can be excellent in pointing out how crappy something is. I don't see an abandoned project as a failure if I learned something from the attempt.I had a reader who purchased my book say they didn't like one of the short stories because they didn't like an action taken by a character. While I have no objection to their opinion, I did not take it as valid criticism. When I was writing the book, I received some wonderful criticism along the way that I believe made it so much better.Who Am I?https://www.blogger.com/profile/09189786277970510143noreply@blogger.com
